Panting, Will drew up to the longboat containing Pintell and Ragetti. Unable to speak for a moment, he rested his hands on his knees, drawing quick, ragged breaths. The pirates stared at him. "Where are they?" Will finally managed to get out, drawing his sword and flourishing it at them.
Pintell and Ragetti simply stared at him - still in shock to see him alive, and free from Davy Jones's dread ship.
"Gah!" Will said eloquently, and sword still brandished high, began to track the footprints in the sand to their source. In the distance he could see three figures. One slender and feminine - hope rose in his heart. One tall and dishevelled. And the other - Will clenched his fist - was that scoundrel Captain Jack Sparrow. Even just standing there Jack managed to look distinctive.
"Jack!" Will yelled, running towards him. "Captain Jack Sparrow!"
This is where the Gillette/Groves/Anamaria-maybe Giselle plotline will go on.( Leaving from TortugaCollapse )
Sorry about my stupidity. The OOC should be working correctly now. If you haven't joined it, please make sure you do. potc_altdmc_ooc
Thank you! I'm working on a header for it now, and hopefully a promotional banner so we can get the rest of the characters we need, like Pintel, Ragetti, Beckett, etc.
Will crouched on the bow of the cursed ship, as it approached a small tropical island. He had no doubt what was on that island - the chest, which he now had the key to unlock. He had little doubt that Captain Jack Sparrow would be on the island, searching for the chest. Soon he would be able to revenge himself on his father's tormentor, Davy Jones, and fulfil his promise to save his father's soul. And soon - a mixture of love and desire rose in him - he would be able to see his love, Elizabeth. He knew that she had left Tortuga in Jack's company, and the thought that she had come after him both filled him with pride and terror. She was a fine girl, a courageous and strong beauty, but if she had fallen into difficulty or trouble, he would never forgive himself.
The ship suddenly shuddered, bringing his attention back to the task in hand. Fearing the worst, Will looked around quickly to check that he was still unnoticed, then dived smoothly off the bow into the smooth, clear ocean. He pulled himself up onto the beach, and looked behind him. The Flying Dutchman was nowhere to be seen. But in the distance, along the shoreline, he could see a small longboat and some distant figures. Will began to run...
Jack leapt onto shore with a grin, and licked his lips. He could almost taste success in the warm, balmy air. He looked surreptitiously at the rags covering his hand, and felt a shudder run through him. He wasn't a coward in any way, but life tasted good and he would do anything to keep it. Although the land under his feet felt sturdy, he glanced back at his jar of dirt and narrowed his eyes.
"Guard the boat, mind the tide, and don't touch my dirt!" he ordered Pintel and Ragetti. Turning from them, he eyed Elizabeth. She had walked a few steps away, and was looking intently at the compass. He moved deftly towards her, and placed a hand slyly on her shoulder. "Well, love," he said, breathing heavily into her neck. "Which way does your heart's desire lead you?"
